Growth and the next step forward

Well, The Articulate was a hit at the November 17th, North Texas Round Robin. All around the room, students and parents were reading and discussing the magazine and its ideas. The question on the tip of everyone's lips? "When is the next issue coming out, and how can I be involved?"

The deadline to turn any articles in for the next issue is January 7th; I hope to have the next issue out by the end of January. But how can you get involved?

Well, you can voice your ideas in a variety of ways:

1. Write an article on the topic of your choice. If you're passionate about a current event, tell us about it and why you take a certain side on the issue. Of course, due to space limitations, all articles simply can't be included, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't submit one anyways. Even if we can't use it for this issue, we'll keep in on tabs for the future issues.

2. Write a letter to the editor. If you don't have time to write a full blown article, summarize your ideas or questions in a letter (or in this case, email) to the editor and send it to thearticulate@gmail.com.

3. Comment here. Even if you can't write a letter or article, you can comment on this blog with your ideas, or events you want to see covered in the next issue. Want to see an article on immigration? Just tell us. We want to cover the issues that you care about.

Copies of the first edition of The Articulate are still available...if you want to order a copy or have questions, comment here or email us at thearticulate@gmail.com

Hope to hear from you soon!
